About Shining Stars Childminding
Shining Stars is a family-run childminding service based in North Chingford. Our setting provides a warm, home-based environment where children can play, learn, and grow through a mix of structured activities and free exploration.
All team members attend regular training to ensure the highest standards of childcare, safety, and early years education.
Paula Harris - Registered Childminder
Paula has been a childminder since September 2014. Before becoming a childminder, she worked as a nursery room manager caring for children aged 3 months to 5 years. Paula has over 30 years of experience in early years childcare and education.

- BA (Hons) Early Years and Childhood Studies
- Designated Lead Safeguarding
- Paediatric First Aid
- Makaton trained
- Working towards Curiosity Approach accreditation
Wayne Harris - Childminder Assistant
Wayne joined the setting in June 2024 after registering as an Ofsted-approved assistant. He provides an additional positive role model for children and supports school collections, activities, and expanded childcare services.
